Here we are, our first DIY together!
My husband and I and a few of our friends have picked up a fun hobby, bowling. We have been going once a week and we have been loving every minute of it. It has begun to get pretty expensive so we decided it would be a good idea for us to invest in some bowling shoes. My husband already had bought some bowling shoes with his coworkers in which they did a group buy.
I found mine on Amazon and they are super cute! It has some rose gold detailing and for being bowling shoes they are actually quite comfy.
But, I noticed how annoying it was seeing my husband carry around his shoe box, so this made me want to do this DIY. I wanted an easier way to carry shoes around. So, it doesn’t have to be for bowling shoes like I did, but you can use it for traveling or to store in a closet or under bed and everything will be neatly labeled. I did some research on Amazon, of course, and I found travel shoe bags. It came in a set of two.
They have several different colors. The only color I have left over of our iron-on Cricut vinyl is white, so I wanted a dark color that we would both like to add our name to it, so I picked Navy.
I found this beautiful font called Bronx Two Lines. I outlined the text on Illustrator, saved it as a png, added it to Silhouette Studio (which I do prefer over our Cricut) and cut it in reverse since it will need to be cut backwards.
I then weeded the vinyl and ironed it onto the bottom of the bag and vualá! We have an easier way to carry around our bowling shoes in a bowling shoe bag that was under $15 for two! I do not like how plane the top is now I might create a design for that in the future, but in the meantime the name at the bottom when they are stacked will make it easier to distinguish who's is who's.
Hope you enjoyed our first super simple DIY!
Live your best life! XOXO
