It's around that time in my life when all my friends are getting pregnant and I am loving every minute of it! Seeing my friends growing a new life is such an amazing time and a beautiful gift. I am so glad that they share these moments with me and going to their baby showers is also very special. So I have been searching and getting feedback on things to give as gifts to the new mama and parents to be for a baby shower gift. Although baby clothes are super cute and fun to look at I feel parents have a certain taste and might not like what you purchased them. In my opinion, I thought it was better to buy things that they will not say no to that they will definitely use. All these gifts can be found on Amazon! Perfect for easy shopping.
One. The number one thing to give as a gift is diapers! They will go through these very quickly and they will need ALOT of them. This is something that no new parent will say no to. What they might say no to is the brand, so if you'd like you can ask them which brand they would prefer if they have a preference. Which diaper brand would you choose?
Two. Another thing that is great for the new parents is a wet wipe warmer. This is perfect to keep the baby comfortable during changes. This warms up the wipes to a perfect temperature and on top of that, it comes with a built-in night light which is great for nighttime changes! What the new parents to be loved so far about this product, besides it warming the wipes, is that it has an automatic shutoff that turns off the light after a few minutes helps them put the baby back to sleep easier.
Three. I have a few friends that recommended giving Burt's Bees Burp Cloths as a gift. After doing some research I agreed! They are 100% cotton, 100% organic, and GOTS Certified. All these are perfect for any baby but especially babies with sensitive skin. This also makes it great for easy cleaning and long-lasting. They are very soft which is great for wiping a baby's mouth clean. They also have quite a few cute prints perfect for boys and girls and neutrals. I've been told that these cover the entire shoulder and don't slip off the shoulder.
Four. Not all things should be for baby. Some things can be for mama, which is why these are perfect to give to mamas who plan on breastfeeding. The TheraPearl 3-in-1 Breast Therapy packs are great for moms to be. It helps provide therapeutic relief. It can be warmed in the microwave to help relieve plugged ducts and mastitis and it can also be put in the fridge or freezer to be cooled for swelling and pain. It also helps when a warm pack is placed while pumping for help with milk letdown. My friend used these constantly more of an ice pack to help with the swelling.
Five. Another practical gift that the parents might not know they need until the baby is there is a Nursery kit. I have gotten this kit at Target by Safety1st but they do also have it on Amazon Prime. It is a Deluxe Baby Nursery Kit that comes with a ton of things to help ensure that the parents to be will be well prepared such as a nasal aspirator, dropper, comb, pacifier medicine dispenser, brush, toothbrush, and nail clippers. They also have a Healthcare and Grooming Kit if you wanna save a little money but still comes with good stuff like the nasal aspirator, comb, nail clippers, a digital thermometer, and a cute little case.
Bonus. If you wanna go big I hear the Frida Mom Hospital Bag Kit is really great and would make an amazing gift for the moms! It comes with all the essentials for postpartum recovery and I hear so many moms rave about this kit.
I hope this is helpful for you. It took me a while to do the research to find things I know they will put to good use and make a great gift to give for a baby shower or even a gift when they leave to hospital and the baby is home.
Thanks for reading!
Live your best life! XOXO
